The Atlanta Marlins enter the 2025 Winter Santa Shuffle looking to defend the title they won last year. Competing as the Nighthawks in 2024, they went 3–1 and edged the Rays 5–4 in a tight championship game. Now rebranded and bringing back key players from the summer, fall, and last year’s tournament, the Marlins look even stronger.

Pitcher and third baseman Bryce Becker leads the way. He was one of the league’s most dominant arms this summer with a sub 2.00 ERA across more than 40 innings. Whenever Becker starts, the Marlins are in great shape.

Behind him, catchers Logan Swan and Brett Miller will anchor the staff. Miller played a major role in the fall championship while Swan returned from the IL by crushing four extra base hits and a home run in his final two fall games.

Shortstop and team founder Jimmy Martens is set for a comeback after struggling in last year’s Santa Shuffle. He followed that performance with a strong fall season that included a clutch homer in the Marlins regular season finale. He enters the tournament ready to prove himself.

Jordan Fricks also returns after helping secure the fall championship with four and two thirds innings and the win in the title game. His presence adds even more depth to the pitching staff.

With returning talent and momentum from multiple championship runs, the Atlanta Marlins arrive as one of the top contenders to take home this year’s Santa Shuffle crown.

First pitch is 10am vs the Bambinos. Roll Marlins.
